The 4th of July is almost here and the metro offers several good events.
Red, White and Boom in downtown OKC July 3rd the Oklahoma City Philharmonic will perform in the parking lot of the Coca Cola Event Center with fireworks. On the 4th Redhawks Baseball then fireworks.
Bethany Freedom Festival June 30-July 4th. This is the 53rd year and there’s everything from a carnival, parade, car show and the states largest fireworks display on the 4th.
Edmond’s Liberty Fest it’s already going on with a car show, parade, kite fest, rodeo, concert at UCO and fireworks on the 4th.
Midwest City’s July 4th Event at Joe B Barnes Regional Park has live music and fireworks.
Yukon’s Freedom Fest on July 3rd there’s live music, a Tribute to Veterans and fireworks. On the 4th there’s a car show, kids parade, best decorated bicycle contest, sand volleyball tournament, family fun triathlon, hot dog eating contest, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic preforms then fireworks.
If you do fireworks yourself think twice about it this year with our extreme drought it might not be the best or wisest thing to do. I hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th.
